About ITK - Israeli Tactical Knife Program The ITK Program is restricted to law enforcement, military and approved civilians. This program teaches use of the knife as a defensive tool and as an offensive weapon (for military). It brings Mike Lee Kanarek's extensive expertise in use of edged weapons to the classroom setting. ITK covers all facets of using a knife against an assailant who is also armed with a knife from effective deployment strategies to using reverse grip tactics to draw the attacker in to an effective counterattack. Knife-fighting training is an excellent way to develop a keen understanding of how a knife is used in an attack. It is also a great way to develop a sense of the flow of an assault with a knife, improve footwork for all programs, and improve recognition of knife motion and patterns. All of this not only serves to turn students into effective knife fighters, but also importantly helps students greatly enhance their ability to "read" the existence and direction of travel of a knife being used against them. This is a critical ability to possess and to develop for the empty hand versus knife tactics taught in the F.I.G.H.T. program. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About ICS - Israeli Combat Shooting (Defensive Handgun) Program If you want to learn how to effectively use a handgun to defend yourself, or if you are law enforcement seeking to enhance your skill with combat proven methods of shooting accurately under stress, this program is for you. Whether you have extensive experience with firearms, or none at all, this program will give you a reliable set of skills should you need to use one. Even if you never intend to own a handgun and are opposed to them in general, as a responsible adult who is studying self defense tactics, you should take the short Introductory course (ICS 1000) so you know what to do if you are confronted by one and disarm the attacker. Israeli Combat Shooting (ICS) was developed throughout countless combat engagements by Israel's most Elite Special Forces and Special Ops Counter-Terrorism units during the last few decades of modern combat conflict in the middle-east. Our shooting methodologies have been truly battle-tested and have been proven extremely effective time after time. Our unique no nonsense combative approach has one major guiding principle and that is: to hit and neutralize the opponent as fast as possible thereby eliminating the threat at the earliest stage possible. Our training methods specialize in preparing students for real life threatening situations, so our graduates at higher level courses will be both functional and effective in their shooting skills when it counts the most - under pressure. Building muscle memory (programming your body to shoot accurately instinctively) and proper mindset is heavily stressed from the beginning stages of our courses and stress shooting is introduced gradually into the training drills in order for you to be able to bridge training concepts to the reality of the actual pressure associated with real world events. Courses are conducted in three progressive levels to ensure your complete education and skill development: ICS-1000, ICS-2000 and ICS-3000. Each course is approximately 4 hours long. Each course entails approximately 1 hour of dry practice and education, and live fire of 250 to 300 rounds of ammunition in a variety of situations. Students who complete all three levels typically can draw a holstered gun, engage 3 targets under stress at varying angles and distances, reload their weapon and engage 2 additional targets with hits on all 5 targets using only 8 shots, in 8 seconds or less. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Fitness Impact Training (F.I.T.) Program Fitness Impact Training (F.I.T.) is a complete body conditioning and development program which incorporates cardiovascular, strength and Haganah system self defense skills focuses. While all of the programs at Haganah USA have F.I.T. elements in them, F.I.T. is also designed to be its own fun, engaging workout conducted in a class-based format. It is great for aerobic conditioning and weight management. F.I.T. includes stretching, moving, striking and practice on bags/pads using gloves. Everyone enrolled in any program at Haganah USA can Take F.I.T. at no extra charge! F.I.T. strengthens and tones your legs, buttocks, waist, arms, back and shoulders. It builds a base of skills and conditioning that is not only the essence of self-defense but also good health. The classes improve flexibility, strength, agility, endurance and attitude. F.I.T. will boost your energy level, not drain you. If you want to see noticeable improvements to your body and stamina, this is the class for you. F.I.T. Cardio and F.I.T. Strength Classes take only 45 minutes to complete and F.I.T. 2 FIGHT classes take one hour and work your entire body. This isn't generic aerobic kickboxing - where ring sport techniques have been modified to fit in to an aerobic format. We have taken effective reality based self defense tactics and developed drills which allow them to be practiced correctly, but at a rapid pace to generate aerobic benefits. We have also added "application specific exercises", which strengthen and increase flexibility in the muscles and joints you would use in a self-defense situation. Because F.I.T. techniques are technically correct and effective you get the double benefit of getting or staying in great shape and developing a foundation of skills to defend yourself. F.I.T. allows you to practice combatives. These combatives involve self defense elbows, offensive elbows, straight and cross punches, groin kicks, side kicks, and knees just name a few. Practicing the combatives correctly over and over creates muscle memory, strength, speed, and power. And, hitting and kicking bags and pads is fun - twice as fun since you know you're actually preparing the base needed to defend yourself if the need arises. F.I.T. 2 FIGHT Class F.I.T. 2 FIGHT puts it all together in a series of classes designed to mix cardio and strength with Body Blast Bursts - unique sequences Haganah uses to develop speed, power, agility and endurance. This Body Blast approach helps you develop "burst endurance" - the ability to go all out for short periods of time - critical in a self-defense situation. It also develops effective "adrenal state response," enabling your body to perform effectively under states of high stress - again crucial to your safety. These classes will turn your body into a lean, mean, high performance machine. F.I.T. Cardio Specialty Class F.I.T. Cardio focuses on cardiovascular work to take endurance to the next level. When you do F.I.T. Cardio, you will practice elbows, kicks, punches, and other combative elements. F.I.T. Cardio includes incredible bag and pad work. Feel the difference contact makes when you practice elbows, kicks, and punches on the bag. Listen to great upbeat music while working pad drills and line drills! F.I.T. Strength Specialty Class In order to execute a technique with power, you must train your muscles. The stronger the muscle is, the quicker and more powerful elbows, punches, and kicks become. F.I.T. upper body work develops the biceps, triceps, back, and chest. Through the use of exer-tubes, hand weights, and individual body weight, you can develop the body to give you the power - and get the look you want! F.I.T. lower body work develops hamstrings, quadriceps, hip flexor, and abdominal strength. Using exer-cuffs, hand weights, and line drills you will develop strong legs to perform side, round, and groin kicks, and knees. F.I.T. offers incredible abdominal exercises to work the middle, transverse, and oblique muscles. |
